COLUMBIA, Ky. - Brooke Cato had already qualified for nationals in the 100 freestyle. On Wednesday at Lindsey Wilson College, the Bowling Green, Ky. senior added the 50 free to her swim card for nationals in Oklahoma City, Okla.

Cato finished first in the time of :26.77. Kathleen Ewing, a sophomore from Madisonville, Ky., finished second, but failed in her attempt to make a national time. She swam a :28.06.

Cato and Ewing were the only Lady Tiger swimmers to compete due to injury and conflicting class schedules.

Ewing finished first in the 100 butterfly in the time of 1:08.86.

Other swimmers and relays qualifying this season for nationals, include:

* Alison Lee in the 200 free

* Brooke Cato in the 50 and 100 free.

* And relay teams in the 200 and 400 medley; and the 200, 400 and 800 free relays.

The Lady Tigers return to the pool on Saturday, Feb.4 when they travel to Asbury University.
