Lady Water Tigers are fourth at Asbury

WILMORE, Ky. - With only four swimmers available on Saturday because of injuries, the Lady Water Tigers still scored enough points to finish fourth in a five-team meet at Asbury University.

Kathleen Ewing picked up 25 individual points with a ninth-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle and a third in the 100-yard butterfly. Ewing also anchored a third-place 200-yard freestyle relay team that earned the Water Tigers 30 points.

Brooke Cato tacked down 15 individual points with a fourth-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle.

Full team results include:

50-Yard Freestyle: Ewing, ninth, :28.26; Katie Kelien, 15th, :35.66.

100-Yard Freestyle: Cato, fourth, :59.14; Carrie Wohlschlegel, ninth, 1:04.31.

100-Yard Butterfly: Ewing, third, 1:08.94.

200-Yard Freestyle Relay: Cato, Kelien, Wohlschlegel and Ewing, fourth, 1:59.95.

The Lady Tigers return to the pool on Saturday, Feb. 11 when they travel to University of the Cumberlands.
