Jacob Cook posted his second straight complete-game shutout Sunday to complete a Mid-South Conference series sweep of the University of Pikeville, 3-0. CU won a doubleheader over UPike Saturday, 8-4 and 8-1.

The Tiger hitters sprinkled three runs on eight hits through the nine-inning game. Cook, who threw a seven-hit shutout at Shawnee State University last week to earn MSC Pitcher of the Week honors, allowed only three hits and two walks in his nine innings of work. He struck out five and had the help of two double plays.
CU averaged a hit per inning, placing at least one runner on base in every inning but the second.
After collecting a one-out single in the third and leaving two stranded, the Tigers scored all of their runs in the fourth and fifth.
Rylan Chin collected a one-out single in the fourth for the Tigers' third hit of the day.
Trent Seamons followed with a laser into the wind toward left. It fell at the fence for an RBI double to put CU on the board. Seamons later scored on an error to give the Tigers a 2-0 lead.
The fifth inning played out similarly to the previous two.
Danny Lapchak and
Craig Edwards each collected one-out base knocks and stole second the both move into scoring position.
Brandon Johnson drove in Lapchak with a groundout to short and extended the Tigers' lead, 3-0.
Cook retired 12 of the next 13 batters faced, allowing a walk and one hit in his final four innings.
Aaron Schwoebel and Seamons were the only Tigers with multiple hits Sunday with two apiece.
The win secures the Tigers' one-game lead in the Mid-South Conference standings. It is career win No. 661 at Campbellsville for Tiger head coach
Beauford Sanders, tying former Lady Tiger basketball coach Donna Wise for the most wins by a head coach of any sport at Campbellsville University. In his 22
nd season as head coach, Sanders has posted a record of 661-449 (.595) at CU. Wise posted a 661-283 (.700) record in 32 seasons as head coach of Lady Tiger basketball.
Campbellsville (21-4, 7-2 MSC) will travel to No. 7 Cumberland University (17-12) on Tuesday for the first of seven-straight non-conference games. Start time at Woody Hunt Stadium in Lebanon, Tenn., is scheduled for 3 p.m. EDT. The Tigers will return to MSC action March 30-31 at Lindsey Wilson College.
