Box Score 2 RIO GRANDE, Ohio - Campbellsville University locked up the No. 3 seed in next week's Mid-South Conference Baseball Tournament after completing a doubleheader sweep at the University of Rio Grande on Friday. The Tigers dropped the first game 9-4, but responded with an 11-4 victory.

The win moves the Tigers to 33-14 overall and 13-7 in the MSC with two regular season games remaining.
Chance Kopacz led CU on the day, hitting 5-for-8 with four RBIS and three runs scored.
Campbellsville (33-14) will close the series against Rio Grande Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcasted by Rio Grande sports information on http://ihigh.com/redstorm beginning at 12:50 p.m.

GAME 1 - Rio Grande 9, Campbellsville 4 - BOX SCORE
Campbellsville took a 3-0 lead after two innings to start the day, but a five-run sixth was the breaking point in game one.
The Tigers scored two in the first inning.
Tanner Nielsen led off the game with a double to right-center before scoring on a sac fly by
Chance Kopacz.
Danny Lapchak also scored in the inning on a ground out by
Craig Edwards. CU stretched its lead in the second as
Gibby Briones started the inning with a double and scored on an RBI single by
Brandon Johnson, who went 3-for-4 in the game.
CU starter
Ryan Richardson three hits and a walk in the first third of the sixth inning, sparking a five-run inning. A two-RBI double by Brian Suerdick gave Rio its first lead of the day and led to the eventual winning run, going up 5-3. Rio kept pushing, scoring on a sac squeeze by Luke Taylor, who later scored on a wild pitch. Grant Tamane picked up an RBI walk.
Kopacz (2-for-4) cut into the RedStorm's lead with a solo shot with two outs in the seventh - his eighth home run of the season.
Rio took back the run in the eighth, plating Taylor on an RBI ground out by Tamane.
Richardson (5-3) recorded his second loss as a starter and third overall after pitching 5 1/3 innings and allowing seven runs on eight hits and one walk. He struck out three.
Andrew Shoemaker and
Mason Yates took over in relief.
Mike Deitsch (5-6) recorded the win after seven innings of work.
GAME 2 - Campbellsville 11, Rio Grande 4 - BOX SCORE
Campbellsville used its own five-run inning in the second game to help explode with a 9-0 lead after four innings.
Kopacz once again led the Tigers. He collected three hits, including a two-out double in the first to set up CU's first run on an RBI single by Briones.
Edwards doubled to start the third and scored on a
Danny Lapchak RBI single, followed by a Kopacz single, Briones two-run double and an RBI hit by
Michael Durham. Durham later scored on a sac fly.
In the fourth, CU continued to stretch its lead. Lapchak doubled to score
Trent Seamons to start the scoring and Kopacz added a two-RBI single to take a 9-0 lead.
Rio scored its first two runs of the game on an RBI double by Kyle Perez in the fifth.
Both teams added two runs in the seventh to round out the game.
Rylan Chin walked to start the top half of the inning before
Ryan Squires doubled to put runners on second and third. Chin came in to score on a passed ball, while Tony Rossetto scored Squires with a sacrifice fly. The RedStorm scored two unearned runs in the bottom half of the inning, scoring one on an error at first and the other on a pinch-hit double by Zach Dulmer.
Michael McBride improved to 8-1 with the win, while Ryan Robertson dropped to 3-7. McBride pitched six innings, allowing two runs off seven hits and a walk.
Phillip Gerber closed the game in the seventh. Robertson allowed nine runs, eight earned, off 12 hits and a walk through 3 1/3.
