Tom DeVito led off the game with a double and scored on an RBI single by Clay Ragland. In the third, Arthur Dockery led off the inning being hit by a pitch, but was thrown out stealing second. But two more free passes led to insurance runs after Nelson Price hit a three-run home run off Tyler Roberts.

Roberts (2-3) lasted 2 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on four hits. Andrew Shoemaker took over and held the Bulldogs scoreless for the five innings.

Tony Rossetto collected CU's first hit with an infield single in the bottom of the third. CU scored its only run in the bottom of the fourth. Danny Lapchak took a pitch off his left hip on a 2-2 pitch and scored on an RBI single by Chance Kopacz. Craig Edwards also had a single in the inning, but both he and Kopacz were left stranded.

Kopacz (2-for-4) ed off with a double in the ninth but was thrown out at third on a fielder's choice by Ryan Squires. Rylan Chin, running for Squires, stole second and took third on a wild pitch, but was left standing on third to end the game.

Donnie Popham (4-2) collected the win for the Bulldogs, allowing one run off three hits through five innings. DeVito collected the save for the Bulldogs, closing out the ninth. DeVito and Price led the Bulldog offense, each going 2-for-4.

Campbellsville (25-11) will host Mid-Continent University for another night game Wednesday at 7 p.m. EDT. Prior to Tuesday's game, the Tigers fell from No. 13 to receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. CU is three spots outside of the Top 25, the same as its preseason position.
