TROUTVILLE, Va. -
Kacie Vincent's walk-off bloop single to center culminated a comeback 3-2 win in eight innings over Cedarville and punched the Lady Tiger's ticket into the finals of the winner's bracket of the NCCAA Tournament.
Campbellsville will play California Baptist, a 9-0 winner over Judson, in a 4 o'clock matchup of the tourney's only undefeated teams.
Playing from behind ever since Cedarville went up 2-0 with solo runs in the second and third innings, CU had to call on more late-game heroics to earn their second straight one-run win.
Starter Tatylor Wroe was credited with both Yellow Jacket runs after allowing four hits and complicating matters by also walking four.
Shannon Muldowney scored on a sacrafice fly in the second and after Wroe loaded the bases with two walks and a hit in the third, she threw four balls to Courtney Teague.
Courtney Turpin came on in relief in the fifth and held Cedarville (35-22) scoreless, allowing but one hit.
Jennifer England plated pinch runner
Amaris Vest in the fourth to close the Lady Tigers to within 2-1 and tied the game in the bottom of the seventh when Dillender's single scored
Emma Napier.
CU (40-22) stranded nine runners in the game.
After forcing extra innings, Turpin put Cedarville down 1-2-3 in the top of the eighth - setting up Vincent's game winner.
England led off the eighth with a single and was sacraficed to second by
