Box Score CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – Goals were scored faster than fans could keep up Tuesday night, as Campbellsville University downed Tennessee Temple University, 9-1, in non-conference action at Chattanooga Christian School.

Kevon Farquharson, a redshirt freshman from Jamaica, opened the scoring with an early goal, the first of his career. Adam Linderholm followed not long after with a goal, before Farquharson made it a 3-0 game with a PK.
The Tigers entered halftime up 6-0 after back-to-back goals by Camilo Roman in a span of 24 seconds and then one by Tomas Arocha.
CU added three more goals in the second half. Roman capped his first collegiate hat trick for the Tigers, while Ryan Foster and Guilherme Cheng scored their first collegiate goals. Fostrer and Gustav Carlsson each had an assist in the game.
"Our first group wasn't great, but the second group came on and really picked us up, particularly Milo Roman and Tomas Arocha. Our quality of depth showed tonight," CU head coach Adam Preston said. "That being said, we have to do a better job of finishing our chances and work to prevent mental breakdowns that cause mistakes, or we are going t have some troubles this season."
TTU avoided the shutout with a late goal in the 89th minute by Shem Ogubmui against Tiger goalkeeper Marcus Anacker, who had two saves on the night. Max Malachiyev played 45 shutout minutes in goal for CU during the first half without facing a shot on goal.
Josue Fernandez had seven saves in the net for Tennessee Temple. All together, Campbellsville had 26 shots in the game, 16 on goal.
Campbellsville (2-0) will return to action this weekend in the Bethel College Classic in Mishawaka, Ind. The Tigers will play the host team, Bethel College (1-3), on Friday, Sept. 6 at 7:30 p.m., and then will meet Taylor University at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. Live Stats will be provided on DakStats.
