ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Five Lady Tigers placed Saturday in Campbellsville University's first women's wrestling tournament of the season, competing at the Missouri Baptist University Spartan Open.

Top-ranked Rosemary Flores and fifth-ranked Michelle Organ each swept through their respective weights at 130 and 155 pounds. Kasey Ricketts (123 pounds) and seventh-ranked Kasey Kruczek (136 pounds) each placed fifth. Kaityln Hill finished sixth at 170 pounds.

Flores collected three pins in the tournament, giving her five this season. She set CU's single-season record with 18 pins as a freshman last year.

Organ had three tech falls on the day to tie former Lady Tiger Breonnah Neal for CU's career-record for tech falls at eight.

Kruczek made her season debut for CU after not competing at the Patriot Duals last week, while Kait Fitzpatrick, Abby Sallee, Makayla Bushman, Cheyenne Duran and Autumn Rux each made their Campbellsville University debut as freshmen wrestlers.

Rux recorded the only win against a preseason ranked opponent 10th-ranked Welina Tong of Midland University in a time of 1:18 in the second consolation round. The win set up CU's first head-to-head matchup this season between teammates, which Kaitlyn Hill won 3-1.

Campbellsville will return to duals action next weekend at the Cliff Keen Oklahoma City University Duals, Oct. 24-25. Draws are to be determined.
