Box Score

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville University women's basketball had its final non-conference tune up Monday night before entering Mid-South Conference play. The Lady Tigers scored 100-plus points for the second-straight game beating College of St. Joseph (Vt.), 105-42.

BOX SCORE

"St. Joseph came in and tonight was the fourth-straight day they have played," said CU head coach Ginger Colvin. "I give them a lot of credit for playing hard till the final buzzer. I have a lot of respect for this team as much as they have traveled down from Vermont."

"It really felt good to have Chelsea Craig back. It didn't feel right playing the last few games without her, and she really played hard tonight."

The Lady Tigers jumped to a 21-6 run, as Daizah Kimberland scored four of the first six points. Madison Clements also sparked CU in the early run, hitting back-to-back 3-pointers and a 19-footer on the third consecutive possession.

Kristen Jacob also provided a spark in just over nine minutes of play. The junior from Lexington, Ky. scored nine points in the first half and finished with a career-high 14 points in just 18 minutes of play.

The Lady Tigers heated up in the second half, hitting four 3s in the opening 10 minutes. Clements led the way with two. She finished with a career-high 18 points in the lopsided win. Clements scored her 18 points in just over 18 minutes of play off the bench.

Caroline Owen matched Clements with two 3-pointers in the second half. She has now hit a 3 in all five games to start the season, leading CU with 18 total. That is good for No. 6 in the NAIA.

Campbellsville also upped its pressure on the defensive end, forcing a season-high 35 College of St. Joseph turnovers. The Lady Tigers also outrebounded the Fighting Saints 45-35.

Lexxus Graham and Abby Miller both eclipsed their career-highs with five and seven assists, respectively.

Colvin played the platoon system, bringing in five substitutions at a time, as every Lady Tiger got into the scoring column with at least three points. Six Lady Tigers finished in double figures with Clements (18) and Jacob (14) leading the way. Lindey Young scored 12 points and Owen, Kimberland and Craig finished with 10.

"We had one person play over 20 minutes tonight," said Colvin. "Lexxus Graham played 20:02 but nobody else was over the 19-minute mark. That shows a lot about our bench and the depth we have."

Campbellsville will now move into MSC play on Thursday, Nov. 13 as they host St. Catharine College at 6 p.m. You can follow the action live on 88.7 The Tiger starting with the pregame at 5:45 p.m. ET.

"The season gets real now," said Colvin. "The Mid-South Conference is one of the toughest in the entire country. I am excited to get into league play."
