Tigers advance to Crimson Wave Invite championship game

Box Score EAST CHICAGO, Ind. – Four different Tigers found the back of the net Saturday to guide Campbellsville University men's soccer to a 4-2 win over Siena Heights University in the Crimson Wave Invitational semifinals at E.C. Central High School.

Marcelo Petit, freshly added to the varsity roster, scored the first goal of the game for the Tigers off an assist by junior defender Chris Moyo in the 20th minute. Siena Heights evened the score in the 41st minute with a goal by Bryce Delamielleure.

Coming out of halftime tied 1-1, Alex Ryan used a pass from Gabriel De Freitas to regain the lead for the Tigers in the 55th minute, and then assisted Roraigh Yearwood in the 58th minute for what proved to be the deciding goal. Delamielleure assisted Collin McLaughlin in the 60th minute to pull SHU within a goal, 3-2, but Moyo scored in the 82nd minute for his first goal since freshman year.

Nestor Escobar had two saves in the win, despite giving up two goals.

Campbellsville (2-0) will meet Clarke University (Iowa) in the Crimson Wave Invite Championship game Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET. Host school Calumet College of St. Joseph will meet Siena Heights in the consolation game earlier in the day.
