COLORADO SPRINGS - Kayla Miracle went 3-2 Saturday against some of the top senior level competition in the world to place fourth at the Dave Schultz Memorial International, hosted by USA Wrestling at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. 

The freshman from Indiana, who now considers Campbellsville her hometown, drew a bye in the first round but her reward was a quarterfinal bought with 2012 U.S. Olympian Kelsey Campbell, ranked second in the U.S. Senior Rankings for 58 kilograms. Campbell won the match, 6-0, Miracle went on to tech her next two opponents and then pin over Jazmyne Barker (Canada, No. 16 World) her way into the third-place match for a rematch with Campbell. Miracle, who is ranked No. 3 at 55 kilos in the U.S. Senior Rankings, once again fell short, falling 4-1.

Miracle, representing Sunkist Kids, was joined by Rosemary Flores and Michelle Organ as the three Campbellsville University Lady Tigers competing in the event.

Flores, representing the New York Athletic Club, competed at 55 kilograms and Organ battled at 69 kilograms in their second trip to the Dave Schultz International.

Flores, ranked 10th at 55 kilograms, was pinned, in her first match by No. 4 Jacarra Winchester to start the day and then was pinned in the consolation semifinals to Bulgaria's Evelina Nikolova, who was ranked No. 20 in the August 2014 FILA World Rankings.

Organ drew 2012 Olympic bronze medalist Randi Miller (Army) in the first round, being tech'd 12-2. Miller was ranked No. 13 in the world at 69 kilograms in the fall and is No. 1 in the U.S. Senior Rankings. Argentina's Luz Clara Vazquez also defeated Organ, 12-2.

Campbellsville will have next week off as it prepares to travel to St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 13-14 for the Women's Collegiate Wrestling Association (WCWA) National Championships.
