CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - The Lady Tigers fell in three sets for the second time this season to No. 16Â Georgetown College, 19-25, 21-25,19-25.Â

Campbellsville (11-10, 3-5) has met GC for the 21st time since 2007, including tonight's match, Georgetown has swept CU 12-0 in sets, the last two years.
After GC recorded two kills in the first set to push the score to 10-7, Georgetown went on a 4-0 run that forced CU to call a timeout. Out of the timeout Jana Kortas hit back-to-back kills that got the crowd rowdy. The rest of the set was point for point, but Georgetown ended the set with a 6-3 run and a 25-23 win.
In the second set, the score was tied 11 times. Campbellsville's last tie was at 19-19 and that's where CU lost its edge. GC went on a 4-0 run composed of three kills to end the second set.
Both teams recorded 11 kills in the third set with Georgetown being more efficient connecting on a .333 hitting percentage. In the middle of the set, GC went on a 10-1 run to take control, forcing CU to call a timeout trailing 14-9. Campbellsville didn't back down going on its own 6-2 run with four kills from Kortas and one from Mirela Vasconselos.
Kortas nearly recorded a double-double with 12 kills and nine digs. Maria Coelho was next in line with nine kills. Inoa Fields recorded a match-high 30 assists.
The defensive side was shared between five players recording more than five digs — Jessie Pendleton (8), Kortas (9), Fields (8), Chanel Raymundo (8), Marcella Compeau (5).
Brooklyn Bowling was credited with three service aces.
Georgetown is ranked No. 16Â in the NAIA poll and also ranks No. 5 in kills per set (14) and No. 6 in assists per set (12.9). GC recorded 42 kills and 40 assists in the Mid-South Confernce matchup.
Campbellsville will stay in MSC play and host Shawnee State on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. ET.
