Burd gets her 1,000th point in 91-51 win over Reinhardt

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Lindsey Burd scored her 1,000th career point at the 8:30 mark of the second quarter and the Lady Tigers rolled over Reinhardt, 91-51, tonight in the Powell Athletic Center.

"It's hard to score a thousand points when you share the ball and time like we share the ball and time," said coach Ginger Colvin. "I'm so happy for Lindsey that she could get it and get it over with this early in the season."

Campbellsville (13-3, 3-1 MSC) reeled off 20 consecutive points during the first six minutes of the game, nine of those by Burd, before Reinhardt could light up its side of the scoreboard with a Jada Hubbard runner at the 3:48 mark. The Lady Tigers led in the first half by as many as 31.

Campbellsville was 9-of-26 from the 3-point line with Emily Fox and Lexxus Graham sharing all nine with five and four, respectively.

Fox led four CU players in double figures with 19, followed by Graham's 16, Burd's 15 and Madison Stewart's 10. Reinhardt (RU 4-11, 1-4 AAC) had eight 3's, four by the Eagles' leading scorer, Lauren Mullinax.

Burd played 20 minutes and her stat line included nine rebounds and six assists - the six dime is a new career-high. She is the 30th Lady Tiger to score at least 1,000 points in a career.

Campbellsville had 25 assists on 32 made baskets, led by LeeAnn Grider's seven. CU forced 29 Reinhardt turnovers with Graham being credited with four steals.

The win was the 19th straight at home for Campbellsville. Every player who dressed for CU played at least 10 minutes. Jordan Doram score eight points and pulled down four rebounds in a little over nine minutes. Madison Stewart

Reinhardt did win the battle of the boards, 48-45, with Kateca Favors leading everyone with 12 in a little over 22 minutes of play.

The Lady Tigers are right back on the hardwood tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 7:00 when they host their second straight Appalachian Athletic Conference opponent, Milligan College.
