COLUMBIA, Ky. – (RESULTS) The Tigers and Lady Tigers held their own this weekend at the Lindsey Wilson Invitational. The men finished in third place out of the eight teams competing and the women placed second out of seven.

Senior Sarah Johnson and freshman Deja Thompson made history by both breaking CU records. Johnson broke the women's 10K run record with a time of 42:09.41. Thompson set a new record in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 37.84 meters. Both went on to win their event.

Outside of qualifying for the NCCAA National Championships, several other Tigers and Lady Tigers ran, jumped, and threw well this weekend. Along with her qualifying distance in the triple jump, Horne finished second in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 13.00, third in the women's long jump, with a distance of 4.97 meters, and fourth in women's javelin throw with a distance of 28.93 meters.

Junior, Dylan Ford picked up his first collegiate victory in the men's 5K run with a time of 16:42.96. Junior, Maggie Calvert finished second in the women's 1500 meter run and fourth in the women's 5K meter run with times of 5:12.09 and 19:16.44, respectively.

Junior Lindsey Burd, who is making her first appearance on the track this season after competing for the Lady Tiger basketball team, placed second in the women's shot put, with a distance of 10.76 meters.

Freshman Stuart Nichols finished second in the men's hammer throw with a distance of 38.30 meters. Junior Casey Peach placed second in the women's discus throw and third in the women's hammer throw with distances of 31.82 and 30.2 meters, respectively.

Wade Harris finished third in the men's 10K run with a time of 35.53.98. Adam Sandidge finished third in the men's 1500 meter run with a time of 4:18. 55.

Aaron Johnson finished third in both the men's hammer and discus throws with distances of 34.39 and 35.82, respectively. Sprinter Kelsey Feltner finished fourth in the women's 100-meter dash and sixth in the women's 200-meter dash, with times of 13.40 and 28.28, respectively.

Freshman Cathryn Fischer finished fifth in the women's 400-meter dash, with a time of 1:06.28. Johannesburg Boulware and Jeremy Hamilton went four and five in the men's 400-meter dash with times of 53.57 and 53.71, respectively.

Harman also finished fifth in the women's long jump and in women's shot put with distances of 4.83 and 10.10 meters, respectively. Abby Wicke finished fifth in the women's 1500-meter run with a time of 5:39.91. Johnson also finished sixth in the women's 800-meter run with a time of 2:37.08.

Ross Allen finished sixth in the men's 1500-meter run with a time of 4:29:57. Tiffany Yount finished 6^th in the women's triple jump and eighth in the women's long jump with distances of 9.63 and 4.34 meters, respectively.

Freshman Brandi Thomas finished seventh in the women's 5000-meter run with a time of 22:19.94.

The Tigers and Lady Tigers will be back in action on Saturday, April 4 for the Centre College Invitational in Danville, Ky.
