Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. – It was a high offense day, but Campbellsville was only able to plate four of it 13 base runners in a 10-4 loss at No. 5 Faulkner University on Sunday afternoon.
The game was added to the Tigers' schedule after weather forced the cancelation of 12 of its last 15 scheduled games. It begins a four-game stretch of Spring Break games in Alabama.

Faulkner took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first with an RBI double by Robert Liera and groundout RBI by Dennis Morton. However, Campbellsville battled back to even the score, 2-2, with Miguel Solano-Espinoza and Chris Allen driving in runs.
CU took a 3-2 lead in the top of the third, but Faulkner responded with a four-run bottom half to regain the lead, 6-3. The Eagles (23-3) went on to extend its lead with a run in the fifth and two in the sixth.
Campbellsville put another run on the board in the top of the seventh, but the Eagles canceled it out in the bottom of the eighth.
The Tigers stranded eight base runners, including Alex Kline five times. Kline, an Alabama native, was 2-for-5 on the day, including a triple and RBI. Casey Scott drove in CU's other run and was 1-for-3 on the day.
Allen and Solano-Espinoza both finished the day 2-for-4 at the plate, as did designated hitter Carlos Torres. Pinch hitter Gentry Kinsella drew a walk and scored the Tigers' final run of the game in the seventh. Torres, Solano-Espinoza and Garrett Everhart were the other runners to cross home.
Matt Robertson recorded the loss after allowing six earned runs off six hits and two walks through three innings. He had four strikeouts. Indalecio Romo pitched the final five innings, giving up nine hits and a walk for four earned runs. He also struck out four.
Faulkner, playing its sixth game in six days, staffed the game on the mound. Jack Charleston pitched the first six innings for the win, allowing three runs, but only one earned, off eight hits. He struck out five. Patrick McGrady, Christian Torres and Alejandro Castro closed out the game with an inning each on the mound.
Campbellsville (6-2) is scheduled to play at Auburn-Montgomery on Monday and Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET, and then will travel to Talladega College Wednesday for a 2 p.m. game. CU will open Mid-South Conference action over the weekend, March 13-14, at Lindsey Wilson College.Â
