Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — (BOX SCORE) Brescia University scored nine runs in two innings to upend the newly ranked No. 14 Tigers, 9-5.

Before the game started, Campbellsville moved to No. 14 in the NAIA Coach's Poll (HERE), but were unable to make quick work of the Bearcats.
CU (25-8, 13-5 MSC) was rolling, 3-0, when Brescia (16-31, 9-11 KIAC) scored five runs in the fifth inning and went on to score another four in the sixth.
Matt Robertson (1-3) took over the mound in the fourth inning, but the Bearcats' heated up bringing 10 batters to the plate en route to a five-run inning.
Christian McHatton went 3-for-4, Daniel Lokesak went 3-for-6 and Shawn Callis went 3-for-5 to lead the Bearcats at the plate. The hot bats coupled with CU's two fielding errors allowed five runs to score in the fifth, putting Brescia up 5-3.
Campbellsville quickly evened the Bearcat's lead, starting with a leadoff single by Carlos Torres. Jeremy Rosenthal lit up the dugout after a double to the fence in right-center and was lifted by courtesy runner Gentry Kinsella. Kinsella stole third and then scored on a double steal, knotting the game at 5-5.
Casey Scott, Ricky McColloch and Torres all picked up multiple-hit games, with two base knocks.
In the top of the sixth inning, Wesley Vancil relieved Robertson on the mound with two Bearcats on base. Vancil allowed a one-out, two-RBI single and a walk to give Brescia the lead right back, 7-5.
With two outs and three Bearcats on base, Casey Congleton came in to relieve Vancil. Callis singled to shallow center field just out of the reach of shortstop Garrett Everhart, putting two more runs on the board. Congleton finally ended the Bearcat tirade by striking out Zach Capps.
CU was unable to make adjustments at the plate to spark a comeback in the later innings.
Campbellsville will play Indiana University Southeast tomorrow at HIG Field for its final non-conference regular-season game. First pitch is schedule for 7 p.m. ET and the game can be watched live — portal.stretchinternet.com/camp
