Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — (BOX SCORE) After being one-hit by St. Catharine College in yesterday's second-round game, Campbellsville awoke at the plate and run-ruled Georgetown College 8-0 in the consolation bracket.

Campbellsville (34-7) scored three runs in the first inning, two runs in the third and fourth, and also a single run in the sixth to walk off for the win.
The Lady Tigers seek revenge when they meet St. Catharine, Saturday, May 2 at 3 p.m. ET/ 2 p.m. local time in another elimination game. The winner of that game will then face Lindsey Wilson College at 5 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. CT.
After two quick outs to start the first inning, Kristin Benton singled and Hailey Szpila reached on a walk. Erin Benton then hit a lazy pop fly to second baseman Shelby Engle but she dropped the ball to score the game's first run. That's how the rest of the game would go for Georgetown. Every break and close call went Campbellsville's way and the Lady Tigers took advantage.
The big blow in the first came from senior Kendyl Ahrens. She roped a double off the left field fence to push CU ahead, 3-0. All three first-inning runs were unearned after the Engle error.
The Lady Tigers added two runs in the third inning after Brianna Scott singled and K. Benton hit a missile to right-center field for a RBI triple, 4-0. Erin Benton suicide squeezed her twin sister home to push CU ahead, 5-0.Â
The fourth inning was much of the same. The frame started with a leadoff single and walk. Scott delivered another clutch one-out single to push Campbellsville ahead, 7-0.
Scott finished with two hits along with K. Benton. Scott also led the Lady Tigers with two RBIs and scored one run.
Jacqueline Roof delivered the walk - single to score pinch runner Kennedy Shutter from third base to end Georgetown's season (18-18).
Mid-South Conference Pitcher of the Year, Victoria Decker (18-3) didn't have her best stuff tonight but worked out of three jams to keep Georgetown scoreless. Decker finished with a complete game, allowing four hits and three walks while striking out five.
Georgetown threw out three pitchers, but starter Kayla Williams suffered the loss. She threw two innings and allowed only two hits but three unearned runs.
