Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. — (BOX SCORE) Campbellsville exploded for seven runs in the top of the ninth and stayed alive in the NAIA Opening Round, extending its season to a second elimination game by beating Lyon (Ark.) today, 10-2.

The Tigers will meet Faulkner today at 4 p.m. ET in a win-or-go-home game. Faulkner sent CU into the elimination bracket by beating the Tigers yesterday, 3-1. The game can be listened to live on the CU Sports Network - www.portal.stretchinternet.com/camp
Through eight innings CU (30-12) had stranded nine runners, hit in inning-ending double plays in the first and second innings and had another runner thrown out at home. But the Tigers picked up seven of their 17 hits with a two-out explosion in the ninth to put the game away.
Miguel Solano led the CU offense with a 3-for-5 day and an RBI. Five other players had two hits apiece — Chris Allen (2-for-6) with Casey Scott, Ricky McColloch, Garrett Everhart, and Jeremy Rosenthal all going 2-for-5). Shane Woodson had a hit in his only at-bat.
Rosenthal had two RBIs, but was overshadowed in that department when Richard Ramirez parked his first home run of the season, a three-run shot to right in the ninth.
Indalecio Romo , who was among six pitchers used by coach Beauford Sanders, picked up his sixth win by throwing two innings of one-hit ball. Matt Robertson, Chris Tuma, Nick Morehead, Logan Truex and Casey Congleton all saw action on the mound.
Lyon went up 2-1 in the bottom of the first and led by that score until Jeremy Rosenthal plated Alex Kline in the fourth. CU got a go-ahead run in the top of the seventh when McColloch and Kline hit back-to-back doubles.
Then the floodgates opened in the ninth.
