CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -Â In front of a packed crowd at Finley Stadium the Tigers got off to a slow start but dominated play in the second half to beat the University of the Cumberlands tonight, 6-1.Â
With the win, Campbellsville moves to a perfect 4-0 — the same start the Tigers have had for the last four years.
University of the Cumberlands's Jack Cousin put the first point on the board in the 20th minute off a penalty kick. The Patriots would not add to that solo point the rest of the night.

Once the Tigers collected themselves a fire was ignited that the Patriots couldn't put out. Guilherme Cheng tied the score 1-1 in the 41st minute off an assist from Ryan Foster, the 10th assist of his career.
Right out of intermission Marcelo Petit scored his 29th career goal off an assist from Jose Campuzano. It was Campuzano's first assist as a Tiger.
The in the 55th minute Campuzano dribbled 20 yards, juked the goalie and found the back of the net. Gabriel DeFreitas then scored off an assist from Shane Buchanan to put CU up 4-1. Campuzano's solo goal was the fourth of his career after his hat trick against Calumet College of St. Joseph on Saturday. DeFreitas collected his second career goal as Buchanan earned his sixth career assist.
Cheng scored again in the 70th minute with the help of Ross Lindsay's corner kick. That goal was good for Cheng's 12th of his career. The assist was Lindsay's 12th.
In the final two minutes of the match Cesar Pena scored his second career goal to bury the Patriots 6-1.
The Tigers will hit the road Saturday, Sept. 11 for their first away match of the season. The non-conference foe, Indiana Wesleyan University, is currently ranked No. 2 in the National Christian College Athletic Association and the Tigers are ranked No. 4. Action is set to start at 5 p.m. ET.Â
