PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. — More than 150 student-athletes attended the NCCAA Tee-Off Banquet tonight at The Hombre Golf Course, sponsored by the Panama City CVB & Sports Commission.
Campbellsville University was honored to have the most students (7) to be named among the 40 receiving scholar-athlete status.
NCCAA Scholar-Athletes from Campbellsville
Men: Pierce Dahl, senior, Westfield, Ind., business administration;
Tyler Harrod, junior, Lawrenceburg, Ky., general studies; and
Justin Hazel, senior, Campbellsville, Ky., exercise science.
Women: Anna-Marie Hyatt, senior, Lawrenceburg, Ky., business administration;
Ashley Goodin, senior, Columbia, Ky., exercise science;
Olivia Parrott, senior, Greensburg, Ky., nursing;
Cassidy Scantland, senior, Greensburg, Ky., exercise science.
Chelsea Thomas of Bethel College and Micah Golb of Bob Jones University were named the Dan & Kelly Wood (formerly the Game Plan for Life) Award recipients.
The purpose of the
Game Plan 4 LIFE Character Award is to recognize NCCAA student-athletes who epitomize the Christian character qualities of:
Love - demonstrating a caring and consistent love for others (I Corinthians 13)
Integrity - living out ethical principles in a clear consistent manner (Job 27:5)
Faith - acknowledging a life of faith and sharing that faith with others (Hebrews 11)
Excellence - striving to do all things at the highest standard (Philippians 4:8)
The NCCAA partnered again this year with the Panama City Men's Rescue Mission & Bethel Village for Women to provide a Christian Service Project.
Mission residents were invited to attend the Tee-Off Banquet and sit with a team and become their adopted favorite for the week. Each resident received a gift bag from the school including school apparel and various items requested by the mission, such each toiletries, devotional books, and snacks.
