PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Lady Tiger golf improved 21 strokes in the second round of the NCCAA Golf Championship and remains in second place with team scores of 328-307.
After only one Lady Tiger shot in the 70s in the opening round, Campbellsville had a trio of them today.
Senior
Cassidy Scantland led the way with a one-over 73 and is currently tied for third. After not having a birdie in the first round, Scantland rolled in five of them today but fell victim to six bogeys for her 73.
Fellow senior
Anna-Marie Hyatt is also tied for third after shooting 82-75. Hyatt was the steadiest of the Lady Tigers today with 14 pars, one birdie, two bogeys and a double.
Sophomore
Kylie Withrow is the lone Lady Tiger to keep both of her scores in the 70s with a matching 79 today. Withrow, who is sitting in solo fifth, rolled in a pair of birdies but dropped nine shots with seven bogeys and a double.
Fellow sophomore
Michaela Jarman shot 83-80 and is tied for 12
th, while
Ashley Goodin went 84-82 and is tied for 15
th.
The Lady Tigers have a steady hold on second place by 37 strokes over Oklahoma Baptist. Dallas Baptist remains in firm control of first with team scores of 308-301 to lead CU by 26 strokes.
Anna Parmerter from Dallas Baptist leads the individual leaderboard firing 73-71. She leads teammate Sarah Kim (73-74) by three strokes.
Campbellsville will tee off in the final round of the NCCAA Golf Championship tomorrow at The Hombre.
