WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — CU Women's Wrestling finished fourth today in the University of the Cumberlands' Patriot Duals.
The Lady Tigers lost in the third-place match against host Cumberlands, after going 1-2 in the morning matches.
Campbellsville beat Life 32-14, lost a close match to Missouri Baptist, 23-20, and then dropped a 35-12 decision to No. 1 King University.
Andribeth Rivera (123 lbs.) won four matches, one by forfeit against King, to go 4-0 on the day. Rivera bested Missouri Baptist's T. Tillman 10-5, Life's K. Mesar by pin in 1:08 and Cumberland's K. Jimenez with a pin in 2:07.
Mariah Harris (155 lbs.) won three of her four matches. Harris beat Missouri Baptist's S. Ballinger 15-5, Life's D. Crawl with a pin in 40 seconds, and a forfeit win against Cumberland. She lost to F. Molinari of King, 3-1.
Others wrestling, were: Katie Hawthorne (116 lbs.), pinned Missouri Baptist's J. Bonilla in 42 second;
Steffanie Hampton (136 lbs.), defeated Missouri Baptist's L. Villarmia by pin in 1:53 and beat Life's Z. Wright by pin in 4:40;
Kaitlyn Hill (170 lbs.) beat Missouri Baptist's K. Swanson by pin in 53 seconds and won a forfeit match against King;
Raquel Valderrama (191 lbs.) beat Missouri Baptist's T. Moe by pin in 1:46 and collected a forfeit win against King;
Erica Sotelo (130 lbs.) beat Life's T. Gravitt, 10-2.
