SEWANEE, Tenn. – Lady Tiger swimming competed in the annual Igloo Invitational at The University of the South on Friday and Saturday, finishing third.

Jessica Cook,
Sara Beth Howard, and
Faith Hyde teamed up to earn three NAIA-worthy relay finishes. The quad placed fourth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:47.10; third in the 800 medley relay with a time of 8:45.27, 22 seconds faster than their seeded time; and fourth in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:55.17.
The Lewis twins joined the trio of Dalton, Howard and Hyde to earn two more NAIA cuts.
Jen Lewis helped the Lady Tigers to a third place finish in the 200 medley relay in 1:57.37 and
Katy Lewis contributed to the fourth place finish in the 400 medley relay in 4:23.9.
"All of the relay teams swam very well and I am so pleased with their efforts," said coach
Casey Smith. "After being sore and tired at so many meets, I was proud to witness everyone work together and see so many improvements."
Standing out individually for Campbellsville, Dalton collected two second place finishes. She swam her 400 IM in 4:50.50 and the 200 IM in 2:14.59, both NAIA Championship qualifying times.
"The girls worked so hard for this meet and it's great to see so many best times and national cuts," said Smith.
Rounding out for the Lady Tigers with top-five finishes, freshman Howard grabbed a third place finish in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:03.79 and sophomore
Katy Lewis swam the 100 fly in 1:04.43 to place fifth.
Campbellsville returns home for a dual with University of the Cumberlands on Friday, Dec. 2 to take on the Patriots in Powell Athletic Center.
