CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Lady Tiger swimming broke five school records today in its home double-dual meet with Lindsey Wilson College and Union College in Powell Athletic Center.
Campbellsville fell to both the Blue Raiders and the Bulldogs, 140-113 and 132-116, respectively.
Freshman
Lauren Dalton showed out for the Lady Tigers today breaking three records, both solo and along with her teammates. In the 200m backstroke, Dalton swam a 2:35.14 to place second, then earned a third-place finish in the 200m IM with a time of 2:41.25.
Dalton joined
Faith Hyde,
Katy Lewis and
Sara Beth Howard for the 200m medley relay. The team of Lady Tigers earned a first-place finish with a time of 2:15.83, breaking the school record remaining from the 2012-13 season.
Also breaking school records for Campbellsville were
Sara Beth Howard and
Katy Lewis. Howard swam the 100m backstroke in 1:12.36, placing second, and Lewis grabbed the 200m fly record with a second-place finish and a time of 2:50.52.
Other swimmers making strides for the Lady Tigers were
Lexie Upton with a time of 2:32.65 in the 200m freestyle (2
nd) and 3:13.29 in the 200m breaststroke (3
rd);
Faith Hyde with a 400 freestyle time of 5:33.33 (3
rd); and
Katy Lewis swimming a 1:16.62 in the 100m fly (1
st).
Lady Tiger swimming hits the road to Sewanee University Nov. 18-19 to challenge the Sewanee Tigers. They will return home for a home dual with the University of the Cumberlands Patriots on Dec. 2.
