CU goes 3-0 in Florida with 94-63 win over Johnson and Wales

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — Campbellsville trailed only once (2-0) today in turning away Johnson and Wales University in the Lady Tigers' third game in three days of their Florida swing, 94-63.

Jordan Doram, the recipient of some nifty passes from her teammates, scored a career-high 21 points on 9-for-14 shooting. It was Doram's six early points that got CU (14-2) rolling, pushing out to a 25-15 lead at the first-quarter break and a 17-point cushion at the half, 47-30.

Campbellsville benefited from five 3-point baskets in its 25-point first quarter. CU reached its season average in points with seven minutes left in the game when Doram hit a layup off a feed from Abby Miller for a 78-52 lead.

Doram was joined in double figures by Madison Clements (18) and Emily Fox (10). Miller (6) and Lauren Turner (9) combined for 15 of the team's 30 assists.

The Wildcats (2-13), who play out of The Sun Conference, were led by the 20 points of senior guard Diamond Williams.

Twelve Lady Tigers saw action in the first half and when it was all said and done, every physically able player logged some minutes.

CU hit 54 percent of their first-half shots and ended the game at 57 percent, connecting on 8-of-19 from 3 and 10-of-12 from the free throw line.

The Lady Tigers don't play again until Saturday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. when they open Mid-South Conference play and travel to Pikeville, Ky. for a matchup with the 24th-ranked Bears.
