Tonight, the difference maker was the rebounds. Campbellsville out-rebounded the Bears 46-30 with 12 of those CU boards on the offensive end. The Tigers scored 15 points off those second chances.

Campbellsville took a brief two point lead, 30-28 with 1:01 left in the half after

To start the second half, SSU pushed its lead to seven points, 38-31, but Campbellsville rallied once again. Kinney then sparked the Tigers with back-to-back 3s and the Tigers went on a 9-1 run to regain a 40-39 lead with 14:55 left. The second 3 pushed CU's lead to two, 43-41, and Campbellsville was able to extend the SSU deficit to 11 points, 57-46, with what ended up being a 26-8 run.
In the final 6:00, the Bears threw one final punch but the Tigers stayed on their feet. SSU cut the CU lead to as little as three points, 60-57, with a 11-3 run, but Campbellsville answered.
CU was able to counter once more with another big run that ended up sealing the win. The Tigers pushed their lead back to 11 points, 71-60, with 1:31 left after an 11-3 run themselves.
Shawnee State attempted to extend the game by fouling late but hit 9-of-10 free throws in the final minute. After hitting below 50 percent on Saturday vs. Pikeville and Monday vs. Cumberlands, CU shot above 80 percent from the charity stripe on Thursday vs. Georgetown and ended the tonight hitting 81 percent (26-of-32).
Jayllen Carter led the Bears with 18 points, while Corey Benton had 12 and Selby Hind-Wills pitched in 10.
