DANVILLE, Ky. – Lady Tiger swimming competed in its last dual of the season today against the Centre College Colonels, falling 143-59.
Freshmen
Lauren Dalton and SaraBeth Howard led the way for Campbellsville with two first-place finishes, collecting nine points apiece. Dalton swam the 200-yard IM in 2:21.02 and Howard completed the 100-yard backstroke in 1:04.09.
Howard and Dalton also collected a pair of second-place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (26.26) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.70), respectively.
Rounding out the sprints,
Katy Lewis placed second in the 100-yard Butterfly with a time of 1:07.04.
Representing long distance,
Jen Lewis finished the 500-yard freestyle in 6:14.74. Going further,
Jessica Cook and
Kate Bouldin placed second and third, respectively, the 1000-yard freestyle in times of 12:45.09 and 12:48.93.
The two 200-yard freestyle relay teams finished the race back-to-back in third and fourth place with only .88 seconds between them. Cook, Dalton, K. Lewis, and J. Lewis represented the first team of Lady Tigers, and
Faith Hyde,
Lexie Upton,
Casey Galyon, and
Mikayla Runner the second.
This meet completes the regular season for the Lady Tigers. Next up is the Mid-South Conference Championship in Kingsport, Tenn. Feb. 1-4.
