CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – Tiger volleyball was unable to avenge a loss just 12 hours ago and fell in straight sets to Siena Heights University on Saturday afternoon, 25-14, 25-17, 25-20.
CU ends the tri-match a 1-2 record, while Siena Heights went 3-0, while St. Andrews was 0-2. The Tigers drop their record to 2-5 overall but are 2-1 inside conference play.
Siena Heights set the tone for the first set with a quick 4-0 run, forcing the Tigers to call an immediate timeout. The Saints continued to pull away with another 7-0 run, before winning, 25-14.
The second set followed suit as Siena Heights took a brief 5-2 lead. After a pair of attack errors and a kill by
Bryce Johnson, the Tigers knotted the score at six, then lost their grip as the Saints recovered their lead and won, 25-17.
The Saints pulled out another 6-0 run to begin set three, but the Tigers answered quickly with a couple of runs of their own to hold on, 15-13. Still in the lead, Siena Heights called their first timeout of the match, then pulled away to win the third set 25-20.

Rafael Cruz and
Bryce Johnson collected nine, seven, and six kills, respectively, but CU could only muster a .030 hitting percentage. Campbellsville was only able to muster 26 kills and fell victim to 23 errors.
Hunter Monday and
Keaton Marshall finished with six assists a piece to round out the offense.
Siena Heights finished the match with a .216 hitting percentage and was led with 14 kills by Matt Dugan. He recorded a double-double with 12 digs, while Emilier Dejesus led the Saints with 14. Keegan Crawford finished with a match-high 31 assists.
CU now travels to the Clark College Invitational on Friday-Saturday, Feb. 3-4. CU will play three matches – vs. Cardinal Stretch University on Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. and then a doubleheader vs. Lindenwood-Belleville and Clarke College at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
