FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Campbellsville University's women's wrestling will compete at this week's National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Multi-Divisional National Duals at Memorial Coliseum.
The single-division, 16 team, wall-to-wall duals tournament will span two days, Thursday and Friday, Jan. 5-6. College teams from the Women's Collegiate Wrestling Association (WCWA) will be battling for a national duals championship.
Action will begin Thursday at 3 p.m. with the championship rounds set for 2 p.m. on Friday, January 6.
The women's division, which wrestles using Olympic freestyle rules, will begin Thursday at 3 p.m. and conclude with the championship round on Friday at 3 p.m. The Lady Tigers, making their fourth trip to nationals, are ranked No. 2 in the WCWA points standings and No. 5 in duals rankings. CU will meet Ferrum College on Thursday at 3 p.m. on mat 12 with the winner facing either University of the Cumberlands or Southern Oregon on Thursday at 5 p.m.
In their previous two appearances, Campbellsville has finished fourth and third.
CU will enter the weekend with eight ranked wrestlers.
Kayla Miracle (136), is fresh off a U.S. Senior Women's National Championship and is the lone Lady Tiger ranked No. 1. Other ranked wrestlers include
