WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. — For the second straight day, Lady Tiger wrestling swept its competition at the University of the Cumberlands Patriot Duals to earn the team title.
Campbellsville's varsity program started with a 44-1 and 35-11 win – both over University of the Cumberlands. The varsity Tigers then ended the day with a 37-8 win over King University to finish the Patriot Duals with a 6-0 record.
"Like I said before, we are only producing at 50 percent," said coach
Lee Miracle. "The really cool thing is that we have second and third stringers that are hungry and talented and have stepped up to fill some big shoes. Freshmen Pizzo and Campbell have made an immediate impact on this program in the light weights. Ramos, Gray and Valderrama are doing a fantastic job as new varsity wrestlers. All that coupled with a core group of seasoned veterans really allows us to shine as a team. Coach
Nicole Woody did a great job of leading our "B" team to a fourth-place finish. We have a lot of work to do but it's exciting to see how much potential this team has."
