CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Second-ranked Campbellsville women's wrestling won the inaugural Mid-South Conference regular season title tonight with a 31-12 win over No. 4 University of the Cumberlands.
Campbellsville won seven of the 10 matches to dominate in the dual to improve 10-0 overall and swept MSC play with a perfect 4-0 record. Head coach

"This group of seniors is really special," said coach
Lee Miracle. "They have been through highs and lows together. They are the glue that holds this program together. With their leadership, this team can win the National Championship."
The night started with a Cumberlands win at 101 pounds, as Maia Phanthadara defeated McKenzie Bacich, 12-4.
Charlotte Fowler lit a spark to the standing room only crowd with a late pin over Jessica Rodriguez at 109 pounds, giving CU a 6-3, and Campbellsville never trailed the rest of the way.
McKayla Campbell gave the Lady Tigers an 11-3 lead with another pin over Autumn Gordon before Cumberlands got back on the board. Sydney Salinas defeated senior
Steffanie Hampton, 8-7, cutting CU's lead to 12-6.
That was all Cumberlands would get until the 190lb. match. Campbellsville won five-straight matches at 130, 136, 143, 155 and 170.
At 130, senior
Shelby Hall win 5-0 over Ismileyna Valles. At 136,
Koral Sugiyama used a 19-second pin to put CU ahead 20-6. Senior
Kayla Miracle used a 12-0 tech fall over Kailee Godinez at 143,
Morgan Becker extended CU's lead to 27-7 with a 13-4 win at 155 and lastly
Mariah Harris earned a 10-0 tech fall putting CU ahead, 31-7.
The finale went to Cumberlands as Courtney Tompkins pinned Kait Hill in the second period.
The Lady Tigers are now scheduled to travel to Missouri Valley College this weekend, Saturday, Nov. 18.
