The Golden Bears started to find their grove at the end of the opening quarter. WVU Tech erased a seven-point lead with 2:35 left and ended up tying the game at 19-all with 29 clicks left on the clock. CU was able to hold that 12-point advantage, 42-30, at the break by out-scoring WVU Tech, 23-11.
WVU Tech rallied in the third quarter and cut the deficit to six with 6:48 left, 49-43, with a 13-7 run. But that was as close as the Golden Bears would get. The Lady Tigers answered right back with an eight-point haymaker and one minute later were leading by 14 points, 57-43.
The Golden Bears were able to get the lead down to eight at the beginning of the fourth quarter but Campbellsville once again used a big run to seal the victory. Leading 69-60 with 7:58 left, Campbellsville threw one more punch with a 18-7 run to go ahead by 20 points for the first time, 87-67. CU's largest advantage was the final one, as
