CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Lady Tiger basketball defeated Simmons College of Kentucky on Tuesday night, 125-39, and broke multiple records in the process. The 125 points is the most points in a game and the 86-point margin of victory is also the largest in program history.
Campbellsville (8-1) had seven players score in double figures with reigning MSC and NCCAA Player of the Week
Savannah Gregory leading the way with 15 points.
Madison Clements,
Jordan Doram and
Madison Faulkner pitched in 14,
Madison Stewart scored 12 and
Lexxus Graham and Sammy Rogers delivered 10. The 10 points for the freshman Rogers was also a career-high.
Gregory also led CU with six rebounds and
Madison Kaiser delivered a career-high six assists in addition to her eight points and six rebounds.
Also, all 14 players dressed on the bench scored at least four points.
In addition to the individual numbers, the Lady Tigers hit 52-of-84 (62%) from the floor – the 52 field goals are the most in a single-game, which breaks a seven-year record dating bat to Nov. 8, .2010 vs. Wilberforce (51).
Lastly, the 35 assists are also a single-game record in the Dakstats era (2003-present).
Campbellsville held Simmons to 39 points – which is the lowest point total for an opponent all season and the lowest since Jan. 9, 2017 when Cumberlands scored only 37. CU also held Cumberlands to 39 points on Feb. 9, 2017.
CU forced 35 turnovers and earned 26 steals. The 62 points in the paint is a season-high, along with the 68 bench points, 29 second chance points and 21 offensive rebounds.
With the win, Campbellsville will now travel to Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tenn. to play Carver College on Friday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. ET. Live video and stats will be provided by Cumberland.
