KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Lady Tiger swimming remains in fourth place after Day 2 of the Mid-South Conference Championships with finals appearances in every event.

Casey Smith. "It's great to see them compete like they did. We are working through the disappointing moments together as a family, and rejoicing as one also."
Sophomore Jen Lewis led the Lady Tigers in points individually today with 12 from the 400-yard IM and the 100-yard breaststroke. She swam the 400 IM in a season-best time of 5:14.72 for seventh place and seven points, and finished the 100-yard breaststroke in a season-best time of 1:15.18 good enough for eighth place and five points.
Freshman
Sara Beth Howard collected another NAIA "A" cut for Campbellsville placing fourth in the 100-yard backstroke. She upgraded from her previous "B" standard time to 1:01.71.
Also making appearances on the podium,
Lauren Dalton and
Katy Lewis earned two more Top 6 finishes for the Lady Tigers. Dalton placed fourth in the 400-yard IM with a season-best time of 4:47.31 and Lewis finished fifth in the 100-yard butterfly with a season-best time of 102.57 earning an NAIA "B" cut.
Collecting 22 points for the Lady Tigers, the 400-yard medley relay composed of
Faith Hyde, Dalton, K. Lewis, and
Jessica Cook finished fourth in a season-best time of 4:21.28.
Others contributing points for the Lady Tigers were
Lexie Upton in the 400-yard IM with a season-best time of 5:48.59 for four points;
Kennedy Ludwig in the 100-yard butterfly with a season-best time of 1:10.07 for five points; and
Lindsey Buckman in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:11.43 for four points.
Rounding out the scoring for Campbellsville in the 200-yard freestyle was
Mikayla Runner with a season-best time of 2:10.74 for three points and
Kate Bouldin with a season-best time of 2:15.53 for a point; in the 100-yard breaststroke was
Morgan Bryant with a season-best time of 1:16.83 for three points,
Casey Galyon with a season-best time of 1:17.94 for two points, and Ludwig with a time of 1:17.95 for a point; and in the 100-yard backstroke was Hyde with a time of 1:07.73 for one point.
The Lady Tigers remain in fourth place after Day 2 of the MSC Championships with 160 points. The final day of the championships begins Saturday at 10 a.m. with preliminaries.
