LAKE WALES, Fla. — No. 2 ranked Warner College flexed its muscle tonight by sweeping Campbellsville, 25-10, 25-7, 25-17.
Warner (18-4, 7-0 MSC) hit an astounding .493 for the match, .611 in the second set and held a 39-22 advantage in total kills.
The Tigers (8-18, 5-4 MSC), by comparison, hit .048, but did improve in the third set to .188.
CU was never really in either of the first two sets, but trailed only 15-14 in the third before Warner went on a 7-2 run and created the separation necessary to pull out a 25-17 set win.
Adam Conklin led the team with eight kills and
Hunter Monday had 12 assists, also a team high.
Rafael Cruz had six digs to lead the team in that stat line.
Campbellsville will stay on the road in Lake Wales and play St. Ambrose Saturday, March 18 at 11 a.m.
