MSC Tournament: Two-seeded Lady Tigers meet seventh-seeded Cumberland at 2 p.m. ET on Friday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Lady Tiger softball begins its opportunity to repeat as Mid-South Conference Tournament champions and will play Cumberland University in the opening round.
 
First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET at Michael O. Buchanon Park in Bowling Green, Ky. Fans can tune into all games of the MSC tournament on the CU Sports Network at the links above.
 
No. 9 Campbellsville enters the tournament with a 35-11 record and earned the two-seed. The Lady Tigers meet seven-seeded Cumberland University, which went 17-31 overall and 2-22 inside MSC play.
 
The winner of Campbellsville and Cumberland will play again at 6 p.m. ET versus the winner of University of the Cumberlands and Georgetown College in the six-three-seeded game.
 
The Lady Tigers enter on the four-game win streak and have won 25 of the last 28 games. CU had a season-high 20-game win streak earlier in the year before falling to rival Georgetown College on April 8.
 
In the regular season, Campbellsville won all four games and outscored the Phoenix, 28-7. In the final game of the four-game series, First-Team All-Conference pitcher Neely Quint tossed one of her five one-hitters, as CU won 13-0.
 
The Lady Tigers have won 13-straight over Cumberland dating back to the 2014 season. The last Phoenix victory over CU came on March 12, 2014.
 
Campbellsville is led by Freshman of the Year Tori Humphrey and Player of the Year Jacqueline Roof. Humphrey leads the MSC with a .480 batting average and is second on the team with eight home runs, 36 RBIs and 15 doubles. Roof leads CU with 11 home runs, 47 RBIs and 12 stolen bases.
 
In the circle, Quint and Morgan Gailor have combined to go 30-10, while Quint leads the team with a 2.38 ERA in 120.2 innings pitched.
 
For Cumberland, First-Teamer Jocelyn Hernandez leads the Phoenix by hitting .408. Imani Torregano is close behind by hitting .394. In the circle, the Phoenix have Kaitlin Kralj and Alexa Snyder combining for 32 starts and a 11-19 record.
