GILBERTSVILLE, Ky. — Campbellsville's
Justin Mayfield and Colby Hayes finished in fourth place at the YETI College Central Regional Championship and qualified for the 2018 FLW College National Championship, with a location and date to be announced in October 2017.
The duo of Mayfield and Hayes caught a limit of 17 lbs. 4 oz. and were just two pounds out of first place. They will join
Nick Ratliff and
Luke Patterson, who qualified for the national championship at the FLW College Open at Kentucky Lake on April 8.
Murray State's Zach Baker and Micah Chessor won the regional championship with 19lbs. 4 oz., while Missouri State University's Crosley Welch and Matt Fielder placed second (18-5). Gabriel Dubois and Brandon Heizer was right behind the second place boat with one oz. less (18-4).

Cameron Brooks competed for Murray State and rounded out the Top 5 with 16lbs. 15 oz.
Campbellsville's Mayfield and Hayes were awarded a check of $500 that goes toward travel expenses, while the champions of Baker and Chessor wont $2,400 and the second place boat of Welch and Fielder won $1,200.

The Tigers will now have a trio of boats in the Cabelas/Boat US Natioanl Championship on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Ala.

Adam Carman will travel to the championship for a practices round on Sunday, May 21 — Wednesday, May 24. Competition starts on Thursday, May 25 — Friday, May 26.
Last season, Ratliff competed in one of the biggest FLW YETI College Tournaments of the year and finished in 11
th place as a freshman.
