RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. –The #21 Tigers traveled down to Arkansas to compete in the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open on Lake Dardanelle this weekend. Gabrien Amburgey and Trent Allen led the Tigers with their 7th placement.
298 boats participated in this tournament, counting for double points in the Bass Pro School of the Year rankings.
As mentioned above, Amburgey and Allen placed highest for Campbellsville, coming in 7th place and a total weight of 29.66 pounds. Right outside the top 10 teams, brothers Keenan Stewart and Coleman Stewart placed 12th with a total weight of 27.53 pounds. Third for the Tigers came RJ Sanger and Braden Fairbanks in 29th place with 24.42 pounds.
Four Campbellsville boats came in the top 150 of the tournament: Evan Fields and Briley West in 66th place with 19.96 pounds, Brayson Claunch and Tristan Griggs in 123rd place with 14.30 pounds, Brayden Horn and Noah Dabney in 131st with 13.63 pounds, and Garrett Wilson and Luke Rokavec in 134th place with 13.42 pounds.
Following for the Tigers in the top 175: Brock Catlett and Corey Yarish placed 156th with 11.18 pounds and Ridge Rutledge and Carson Fitzgerald in 167th place with 10.27 pounds.
Logan Evans and Elijah Coleman came in last for Campbellsville in 216th place and a total weight of 5.74 pounds.
The Tigers will be back in action traveling to Anderson, South Carolina to compete in the MLF Abu Garcia College Fishing Tournament at Lake Hartwell on October 24th.
