LIMA, Peru — Andribeth Rivera continues to impress on the international stage, securing her second Top 3 finish in the Junior Pan American Championships. Aftering winning silver last summer, Rivera backed it up with a bronze medal just a few weeks ago. 
 
Rivera, a 2017 WCWA National Champion, competed at 55kg/121 lbs. for her home country of Puerto Rico and had to rally through the consolation bracket against the toughest competition at the junior level.
 
In the championship bracket, Rivera advanced after a forfeit by Naomi Kris Salvatierra Fue of Peru in the first round but lost to Canada's Hannah Fay Taylor with an 11-6 decision.
 
Moving into the consolation rounds, Rivera pinned Rosemary Conceicao Brito on Brazil in two minutes to secure third place.

Rivera is a 2015 Central American Games Gold medalist, 2015 Cadet Pan American Games Bronze medalist, 2016 Cadet Pan American Games Gold medalist, 2016 Junior Pan American Games Silver medalist and a member of the Cadet World Team. She is joining incoming freshman McKayla Campbell are both preparing for the Junior World Championships scheduled for August 1-6 in Tampere, Finland.
