No. 3 Lady Tigers seeking to win 10th-straight home game vs. Pikeville Bears

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — In the last nine meetings between Campbellsville and Pikeville in the Powell Athletic Center, Lady Tiger basketball has won all nine games. On Thursday night, the third-ranked Lady Tigers are seeking to reach double digits as the Bears travel to Tiger Town.
 
Tipoff between CU and UPIKE is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET in the Powell Athletic Center. Fans can follow the action on the CU Sports Network, as Matt Payton and Benji Kelly will call the action on 88.7 The Tiger and WLCU-TV (Comcast 10).  Campbellsville enters the week with a 17-2 record and remained at No. 3 in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The 17 wins is the second-most in the NAIA behind No. 19 LSU-Shreveport's 18-0 mark to start the season.
 
CU also brings in a perfect 3-0 conference mark after winning a pair of MSC contests on the road last week. CU defeated Cumberlands, 69-60, and Life University, 91-73.
 

Kaiser shines to start MSC play:
  • Madison Kaiser, a junior from Floyds Knobs, Ind. has sparked CU in the first three MSC games of the season.
  • Kaiser scored a career-high 16 points vs. Georgetown College on Jan. 6.
  • She has backed that up with 13 points at Cumberlands and 15 last weekend at Life.
  • In the last six games, Kaiser has hit 10-of-21 3-point field goals after only making four in the first 12 games.
Series Facts:
  • Campbellsville and Pikeville are meeting today for the 77th time in history. CU dominates, 68-8.
  • The very first meeting came back in the 1979-80 season with the Lady Tigers winning, 75-58.
  • Coach Ginger Colvin is 18-1 overall and 9-0 while playing in the Powell Athletic Center.
  • The last loss to UPIKE in the Powell Athletic Center came on February 26, 2006, when the Lady Tigers were defeated 63-57. Coach Ginger Colvin's teams have never loss to UPIKE at home.
