Powell Athletic Center welcomes an NAIA Top 5 matchup between LTB and Shawnee State on Saturday

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — One of the newest rivalries in NAIA women's basketball is set to tipoff on Saturday afternoon in the Powell Athletic Center. No. 3 Campbellsville and No. 4 Shawnee State University are meeting for the 27th time in history.
 
Tipoff between CU and SSU is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET. Fans can follow the action on the CU Sports Network, as Matt Payton and Benji Kelly will call the doubleheader on 88.7 The Tiger and WLCU-TV (Comcast 10). Video is also available online at www.campbellsvilletigers.com/watch.
 
Campbellsville enters the weekend with an 18-2 record and remained at No. 3 in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The 18 wins match LSU-Shreveport's win total for the most in the NAIA. LSUS is a perfect 18-0 on the season and moved to No. 19 in this week's poll.

These two programs have run through the MSC the last few years since Shawnee State joined the conference in 2010-11.
 
Even though Shawnee State has upset Campbellsville in two of the last three MSC Tournament Championship games, the Lady Tigers do have the upper hand in overall success. Campbellsville has reached the NAIA Fab Four in two of the last three seasons, while Shawnee State hasn't reached the NAIA quarterfinal round in either of the three seasons. Overall, though, the Bears have had Campbellsville number in head- to-head matchups, winning five of the last six games and three of the last five in the Powell Center.
