Battle of Highway 55 hits hardwood as Lady Tigers have another NAIA Top 10 matchup

COLUMBIA, Ky. — The Battle of Highway 55 hits the hardwood on Thursday night, as No. 3 Lady Tiger basketball is looking to end a two-game skid to rival and No. 8 Lindsey Wilson College.

Tipoff for the doubleheader is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET in the Biggers Sports Center. Fans can tune in to the CU Sports Network, 88.7 The Tiger, at 6:45 p.m. ET as the Voice of Tiger Basketball, Matt Payton, will be joined by Zach Clements for the rivalry matchups.

Campbellsville (18-3, 4-1 MSC) vs. Lindsey Wilson (16-3, 3-1 MSC)

A gut-wrenching loss on Saturday to a new rival, Shawnee State University, gave the Lady Tigers their first loss in Mid-South Conference play. Thursday night's matchup will feature the third-ranked Lady Tigers and eighth-ranked Blue Raiders - which is the third-straight Top 10 matchup in the series.

CU boasts a 52-20 overall record vs. the Blue Raiders in the series, which dates back to Lindsey Wilson's inaugural season in 1986-87 - which was Ginger High Colvin's freshman year at CU. Lindsey Wilson head coach John Wethington has been around for 70 of the 72 matchups but Colvin boasts a 15-8 record against one of her oldest coaching friends.
