Mayfield and Sagrecy finish in 61st to lead CU bass fishing at AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Justin Mayfield and Trevor Sagrecy moved up to 61^stto lead Campbellsville bass fishing at the AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open.

Mayfield and Sagrecy reeled in another limit of 9.37 lbs. – almost two pounds more than their first-round weight to jump up the leaderboard. The top Tiger duo finished with 16.76 lbs. overall.

Adam Carman and Grant Adams had a big second day on Lake Dardanelle. The duo finished in 94^thplace but reeled in a total of 8.39 lbs. in day two to total 12.13 lbs.

Nick Ratliff and Dakota Cantrell also had a solid day but another ½ dead fish penalty costed them a couple positions on the leaderboard. The third boat for CU finished with 7.53 lbs. on day two and totaled 10.74 lbs. overall.

Rounding out the Tigers is Mason Sapp and Colby Hays. They caught two fish in the final round for 4.52 lbs. and totaled 6.45 lbs. in the tournament.

Blue Mountain College's Rudy Worley and John David Nowlin jumped the leaderboard to win by .2 oz. The duo caught 15.12 lbs. in day two to finished with 27.62 lbs. in total.

The big fish from the tournament came from McKendree University's Trevor McKinney and Ethan Jones at 6.52 lbs.

The Tigers now have their final tune up for the fall portion of their schedule at the Battle of the Bluegrass hosted at Lake Cumberland on Saturday, Oct. 20.
