Cristaldo's 40-yard boot is difference maker in Tigers' 1-0 win over Life University

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — A match that saw eight cards handed out, including two red cards, finally came to an end after the Tigers out-lasted Life University, 1-0. 
 
The difference maker was a 54th-minute score by Sergio Cristaldo off a free kick about 40-yards out. 
 
Campbellsville improves to 5-6 overall and gets back to .500 in Mid-South Conference play at 2-2. 
 
Tonight, there were more fouls called than shots for both clubs combined. The Tigers and Running Eagles totaled 22 fouls and 20 shots. Campbellsville dominated the possession with 15 total shots, while Life had five. 
 
Owen Stott denied the lone shot on goal by Life University, while his counterpart Fabian Pekruhl had five saves. 
 
Overall, Marc Lawrence led the way with two shots on goal, while Troy Walters had three total attempts. 
 
The Tigers will now get back in Mid-South Conference play on Wednesday, Oct. 17 as they travel to University of Pikeville. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET.
