NAIA Top 5 matchup meets at historic Oman Arena on Friday as Lady Tigers face Columbia College

JACKSON, Tenn. — Lady Tiger basketball enters the NAIA Invitational with an undefeated record for the third-straight season and for the fifth-straight game, Campbellsville is playing a ranked foe in the Classic.
 
The third-ranked Lady Tigers tipoff one of the most respected tournaments in all of women's basketball on Friday, Nov. 23 against No. 4 Columbia College. Radio coverage on 88.7 The Tiger and the CU Sports Network begins at 4:45 p.m. ET with tipoff scheduled for 5:00. 
 
Campbellsville enters the Invitational with a perfect 5-0 record and will face Columbia on Friday night and Martin Methodist, which is receiving votes in the Preseason Poll, on Saturday. 
 

NAIA Invitational hits year three
  • The NAIA Invitational has been played at historic Oman Arena the past two seasons and Campbellsville boasts a 2-2 record.
  • The Lady Tigers defeated John Brown in 2016-17 with a score of 71-64 and Montana State-Northern, 68-59.
  • The two losses came to No. 2 Westmont, 59-50, in 2016-17 and No. 3 Freed-Hardeman, 56-49 last year.
Series facts vs. Columbia College
  • CU and Columbia College are meeting for the seventh time in program history.
  • The Lady Tigers lead the series 4-2.
  • The only neutral matchup in the series came in the 2009 year as Columbia upset Campbellsville in the first round of the NAIA Tourney, 64-60.
  • The first loss for CU in the series came in the 2011 matchup, as Columbia won, 86-70, in the Cougars vs. Cancer Classic. 
  • The Lady Tigers have won the last three contests.
Depth is on the Lady Tigers' side
  • In the first five games of the year, Campbellsville has 12 players seeing double- figure minutes.
  • Madison Faulkner and Savannah Gregory have been the catalysts thus far.
  • Also, Caitlin Hall has seen the third-most minutes with 22.4 mpg at the point guard spot.

  • Lady Tiger Basketball is in its 45th season and has an overall record of 967-359.
  • The 967 wins is third-most in NAIA history and is the second-highest for active NAIA programs. Ginger High Colvin is in her 12th year at the helm and has a total of 308 career wins - ranking her 14th on the all-time list.
  • CU reached its 26th national tournament last season - which is an NAIA record.
  • Madison Faulkner scored a career-high 29 points against No. 17 Loyola.
  • Faulkner leads the Lady Tigers by averaging 16.8 points and 6.2 rebounds - both are season- highs for the junior forward.
  • Madison Kaiser scored a season-high 18 points vs. Davis & Elkins the last time out. She hit 4-of- 5 3-point baskets to lead CU.
  • Caitlin Hall is averaging a season-high 6.4 assists per game. She recorded games with 10, 7 and 9 assists in the first three games.
  • CU has three Lady Tigers totaling double figures. In addition to Faulkner, Savannah Gregory averages 14.0 points, while Madison Kaiser is averaging 11.7.
  • Campbellsville is one of two teams from the Mid-South Conference in the Top 3 of the NAIA Rankings.
  • CU is scheduled to play only seven games against ranking opponents in the NAIA Preseason Poll.
