CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – A long night inside the Powell Athletic Center ended in the Lady Tigers' 10
th straight win and ninth at home to finish the 2018 regular season 9-0 at home.

The night started as CU recognized five Lady Tigers for senior night. Three seniors in
Maria Coelho,
Julia Fonseca and Katie Johnson as well as two juniors who will be graduating early in
Ashlyn Flock and
Cassidy Mull. All five recognized started the match in the first set and played a significant role in the team's come from behind victory.

The emotions of the senior night ceremony may have carried over into the first set as Brescia took control early and never trailed throughout the set, eventually winning 25-22.

The Bearcats also won the second set by an even wider margin at 25-19 but that's when a switch seemed to be flipped on both sides of the court.

Campbellsville took over from the third set on, winning the third 25-18, the fourth 25-17 and the fifth 15-8. Not only did the Lady Tigers play well on the attack, hitting .219, .237 and .217 in the third, fourth and fifth respectively but the Bearcats seemed to play more of their reserves as the match continued.

Johnson had one of her best games of the season with a double-double of 14 kills and 17 digs, leading the team in both categories. The 17 digs is a season-high for Johnson as she played a few more sets of full rotation than she had been in the prior weeks.

Now the Lady Tigers will head into the Mid-South Conference tournament with a final regular season record of 21-8. CU also finished MSC play with an 11-2 conference record to earn the No. 2 seed in the tournament and will play Shawnee State in the first round Thursday night.
