Fighting Tiger Football hosts Cincinnati Christian for Senior Day on Saturday

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. — Fighting Tiger football closes out its season on Saturday afternoon at Finley Stadium for Senior Day as Campbellsville hosts Cincinnati Christian University. 
 
The Tigers and Eagles kickoff at 1:30 p.m. ET with the Tiger Tailgate Show beginning at 1 p.m. with Alex Meade and former Tiger Khalil Baker. Fans can tune into the CU Sports Network for coverage with Jim Freeman at Matt Payton get on the air at bottom of the hour. 
 
Campbellsville is also inducting the newest members into the athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday as the 2009 Women's Volleyball NCCAA National Championship team will be honored and recognized at the beginning of halftime. 
 
Senior Day activities for the Tigers will begin at approximately 1:10 p.m. and the Tiger Marching Band will honor their seasons at halftime. 
 

Tiger Clawz:
  • Campbellsville is looking to end a two-game losing skid after falling to Georgetown and Lindsey Wilson – both NAIA Top 25 programs – the last two weeks.
  • The Tigers have been outscored by opponents, 274-161, this season. Although, CU has more first downs than opponents, 179-146.
  • CU has passed for 1,974 yards and opponents have thrown for 1,967.
  • After averaging more than 40 points per game the last four seasons, the Tigers
  • are now scoring 17.9 points per game in 2018.
  • Kendon Young has 22 career receiving touchdowns - which are tied for third
  • with Stan Warrenhuffman in CU history. Tyus Alcorn leads the way with 36
  • career TDs.
  • Campbellsville will start the 2019 season on the road in Lakeland, Florida as it travels to Southeastern University on September 7.
  • The Tigers host Reinhardt University, Georgetown College, Thomas More College, University of Pikeville and Cumberland University for the 2019 season.

  • Campbellsville and Cincinnati Christian are meeting for the third time in program history.
  • Campbellsville owns a 2-0 record over the Eagles.
  • Cincinnati Christian entered the Mid-South Conference in football to start the 2016 season. CCU is one of 15 affiliate members in the Mid-South Conference.
  • The Tigers have out-scored CCU 97-7 in the first two games.
  • Cincinnati Christian is still looking for its first win in program history.
  • The Eagles had two close games this season, falling 23-10 to Cumberland University on Sept. 29 and 24-19 to Kentucky Christian on Oct. 27.
