Balanced team effort pushes Tigers over Central Penn as CU keeps rolling to 11-0

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – 11 Tigers saw the floor for Campbellsville men's basketball Saturday afternoon in their 103-62 win over Central Pennsylvania College and all 11 scored points for CU at the Powell Athletic Center.

Led in scoring by the 19 scored by both Jacob King and Stephaun Adams, five of the 11 Tigers scored in double figures with Hagen Tyler adding 18 with Joan Duran (12) and Calvin Fletcher (11) each scoring double figures off the bench.

CU's bench scored 35 of the teams 103 points with the six players that came off the bench being a season-high for the Tigers as well. Other than Fletcher and Duran's double-figures efforts, Campbellsville got four from Ronald Taylor, three from Sam Weining and Nolan Barrow along with two from Shane King.

Fletcher's 11 points came in just 12 minutes as he came in to give a good effort, grabbing five rebounds and shooting 5-for-8 from the field. Barrow, a recent call-up from the JV basketball roster, hit the first shot he took as part of the varsity squad.

The 62 points scored by the Knights was the second lowest total given up by the Tigers this season as the CU defense limited Central Penn to just 36.4 percent from the field.

Despite no CU player grabbing more than the seven Andrew Smith grabbed to lead the team, the Tigers out-rebounded the Knights 52-29. Seven Tigers had five or more rebounds in the game and everyone but Barrow had multiple rebounds in the game.

Campbellsville forced 17 Central Penn turnovers and made them hurt as they scored 24 points off of those turnovers. The Tigers also won the battle in the pain scoring 46 points in the paint to the 28 scored by the Knights.

CU will move on to play their first game away from the Powell Athletic Center in seven games as they will play Carver College at the Lindsey Wilson Classic next Friday in Columbia Ky. at 9 p.m. ET.
