BLUEFIELD, Va. — Campbellsville men's volleyball tallied nine service aces enroute to another Mid-South Conference sweep over Bluefield College, 25-21, 25-13, 25-21.
Rafael Cruz led the Tigers with 10 kills and hit .300 on the day, while
Diego Romero and
Stefan Sretenovic both tallied seven and
Max Stotridge had six.
Jeremy Hernandez led CU with 28 assists on 34 kills for the Tigers as they hit .190 as a team.
Campbellsville was able to earn its sixth sweep of the season – the second straight – and improves to 7-8 overall and 2-3 inside conference play. The Tigers stole all the momentum in the second set, tallying 11 kills on only two errors, to hit .500.
Bluefield was never able to get its offense going, finishing with a match-high .100 hitting percentage in the second frame.
The Rams were led by 10 kills for Alex Chiaparini.
Campbellsville now travels south for a trio of matches next week. CU plays at Brewton-Parker College on Thursday, March 1 at 7 p.m. ET.
