COLUMBUS, Ga. – The first day of the NAIA National Championships featured Campbellsville's women's swimming team placing 21st overall in the 800-yard freestyle relay.
The first full day of action at the national meet begins on Thursday at 9 a.m. ET from the Columbus Aquatics Center in Columbus, Ga.

Kate Bouldin and
Brooklynn Friel.
Campbellsville's quartet placed 21st overall and just missed out on scoring by five spots. The Lady Tigers notched a time of 8:39.41 during the event. Campbellsville cut a second off its qualify time that got them into the national championship.
After the first day of competition, SCAD-Savannah leads the team race with 40 points after winning the opening event. University of the Cumberlands is highest Mid-South Conference team in the standings after day one with 34 points and sits in second place.
Day two features the 200-yard freestyle relay, 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard individual medley, 50-yard freestyle and 400-yard freestyle relay.
Preliminary action on Thursday begins at 9 a.m. ET followed by the finals at 5 p.m. ET from the Columbus Aquatics Center.
